النحاس الأصفر

We trade the complete range of brass and bronze — yellow, semi-red and red compositions, turnings, shell cases, tube and secondary ingot — priced on true copper and zinc content.

معيار MohMet

Brass and bronze, priced on true composition

Every brass grade is defined by its copper-to-zinc ratio, often with valuable additions of tin and lead. Yellow brass runs around 65% copper; red brass climbs to 85% copper with tin and lead in the mix. We price each shipment on its true composition — and where a bronze has no published ISRI code, we trade it on assay, so both sides capture full alloy value.

أسئلة شائعة

النحاس الأصفر, explained

Do you buy gunmetal and bronze as well as brass?

Yes. Red brass and composition solids in the 85-5-5-5 family trade as Ebony, and manganese bronze — propellers, marine fittings and heavy castings — trades as Parch. Both are priced on their copper content, so they are kept apart from yellow brass.

Should brass be separated from yellow brass before sale?

It is worth doing. Yellow brass runs about 65% copper, red brass about 85%, and a mixed load is paid at the lower figure. Separating castings, rod ends and clippings is usually worth the handling.

Do you buy brass turnings and swarf?

Yes, provided they are free of iron, excessive oil and moisture. Turnings are graded on what they actually contain, so a declared alloy and a photograph help.
