Who we are
MohMet Ltd is the data controller for the information described here. You can reach us at info@mohmet.co.uk, on +44 20 8058 4645, or by post at 43 Upton Lane, London E7 9PA, United Kingdom.
What we collect
If you use the enquiry form we collect the name, company, email address and telephone number you enter, together with the details of the material you are asking about and any photographs you attach. If you contact us by email, telephone or WhatsApp we hold whatever you choose to tell us in that message.
We do not use cookies, advertising trackers or social media pixels on this website. If we use a visitor-analytics service it is one that counts page views without cookies and without identifying individual visitors.
Why we hold it, and on what basis
We use your details for one purpose: to respond to your enquiry and, if it leads to business, to carry out the resulting trade. The lawful basis is our legitimate interest in answering people who contact us, and, once a contract is in prospect, the performance of that contract.
We do not sell your data. We do not add you to a marketing list because you asked for a price.
Who else sees it
Enquiries reach us through our email and form provider, and are stored in our email system. Where a trade proceeds we may need to share details with shipping agents, inspection companies, banks and customs authorities in order to move and clear the material. We share only what those parties need.
Some of these parties are outside the UK. Where that is the case we rely on the transfer safeguards permitted under UK data protection law.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to business are deleted within two years. Records relating to completed trades are kept for six years after the end of the relevant financial year, which is the retention period required for UK tax and company records.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to our using it. Write to us and we will respond within one month.
If you are not satisfied with our response you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
