Racks is clean soft (pure) lead scrap: sheet, pipe, flashing and cable-stripped lead, free of hard-lead alloys, foreign attachments, drosses and non-metallics. Soft lead remelts directly with minimal refining, making it the premium lead grade.

Radio covers mixed hard and soft lead scrap: clean lead solids combining pure lead with antimonial (hard) lead from weights, pipes and counterbalances. Assay determines the antimony credit or debit; material must be free of batteries, drosses and excessive dirt.

Ropes is lead wheel weights (tyre balances) recovered from tyre bays: antimonial lead with steel clips, traded with agreed deductions for clips, and for zinc and steel weights mixed in the stream. An enduring source of hard lead for the secondary market.

Rails is lead battery plates: grids and paste recovered from dismantled lead-acid batteries, drained of electrolyte and free of cases, separators and foreign material. A licensed-facility grade moved strictly under the applicable waste regulations.

Rains is scrap drained (dry) whole intact lead-acid batteries: units with the electrolyte removed, palletised and moved compliantly to licensed breaking and smelting facilities. Nearly every part of the unit is recycled.

Rink is scrap wet whole intact lead-acid batteries: automotive, truck and marine SLI batteries with electrolyte still present, moved under full hazardous-consignment documentation to licensed breakers. Handled strictly through compliant channels.

Rakes is battery lugs and terminals: the cast lead connectors recovered from battery breaking, minimum 97% metallic lead. A clean, high-recovery secondary smelter feed traded on metallic content.

Relay is lead-covered copper cable: legacy telecom and power cable with lead sheathing over copper conductors. A dual-value grade priced on both the lead sheath and the recoverable copper core, traded to processors equipped for safe separation.

Rents is lead dross: the oxide-rich skimmings from lead melting and refining, traded on assayed recoverable lead. Handled and moved through licensed facilities as a smelter recovery feed.

Roper is whole intact industrial lead batteries: bus, diesel, locomotive, telephone and steel-cased industrial units, moved under full hazardous-consignment documentation to licensed breakers and smelters.
